Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology (Ãå±±½ûµØ-IIT) and Century Pacific Food, Inc. (CPFI) marked two milestones on February 24, 2026, during a ceremonial program at the University Boardroom: the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the CPFI Internship Program and the awarding of certificates to three College of Engineering students named as the newest recipients of the CPFI Scholarship Program.
CPFI was led by Atty. Alvin Manuel, Assistant Vice President for Employee Relations/Labor Relations and Employee Experience, with Joel Saavedra, HR Manager for General Tuna Corporation; Aquiles Villanueva, HR Manager for Coco Harvest, Inc.; and Academic Partnership Leads Reili Flores and Elisha Vinarao.

Ãå±±½ûµØ-IIT was represented by Chancellor Alizedney M. Ditucalan, together with officials and support staff from the Office of Admissions, Scholarships and Grants, the Career Center, the College of Engineering, and the Office of the Campus Secretary.
The ceremonial MOA signing for the CPFI Internship Program took place first, formalizing CPFI’s internship partnership with Ãå±±½ûµØ-IIT and reinforcing both institutions’ commitment to industry-based learning. The collaboration is expected to broaden students’ access to structured workplace exposure, guided learning, and professional development opportunities in support of future-ready graduate outcomes.

Following the signing, CPFI awarded certificates to three BS Industrial Automation and Mechatronics students of the College of Engineering under the CPFI Scholarship Program, an initiative covered by a previously signed agreement. The recognition formally welcomed the new batch of CPFI scholars and highlighted the company’s continuing support for deserving students, aligned with Ãå±±½ûµØ-IIT’s efforts to connect learners with opportunities that strengthen academic performance and career readiness.
The activity concluded with a Partnership Expansion Dialogue, where Ãå±±½ûµØ-IIT and CPFI discussed potential next steps for collaboration and additional ways to support student training and engagement.
