The College of Economics, Business, and Accountancy’s (CEBA) Graduate Business Program has taken a significant step toward bridging the gap between academic theory and industry practice through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ãå±±½ûµØ-IIT National Multi-Purpose Cooperative (Ãå±±½ûµØ-IIT NMPC) on February 26, 2027, at the Office of the Chancellor Lounge. This strategic alliance is fundamentally aimed at producing industry-ready leaders equipped with the practical skills and innovative mindset necessary to excel in the professional world.

The MOU signing was attended by Chancellor Alizedney M Ditucalan, CEBA Dean Prof. Maria Rizalia Teves, PhD, Department of Business and Innovation Chairperson, Assoc. Prof Abdullah R. Sirad, CEBA Graduate Coordinator, Assoc Prof. Marlo C. Novino, and CEBA faculty and staff. Meanwhile, the Ãå±±½ûµØ-IIT NMPC team was led by its chairperson, Edward L. Banawa, EdD.

This collaboration is a manifestation of the university’s efforts to further advance its academe-industry ecosystem. Chancellor Ditucalan emphasized the importance of these partnerships in addressing gaps that often exist between theoretical knowledge imparted in the academe and the practical demands and real-world challenges faced by the industry and the community.

Gearing towards addressing the dynamic needs of the industry sector, CEBA’s Graduate Business Programs’ newly designed and developed curriculum is underway, also serving as one of Ãå±±½ûµØ-IIT’s goals during the partnership. Moreover, Ãå±±½ûµØ-IIT NMPC is expected to provide sectoral data, expert recommendations, and feedback.

As the collaboration moves forward, both institutions envision a dynamic exchange of knowledge and expertise that will cultivate competent, ethical, and future-ready business leaders who will contribute to regional and national development.
