Four CASS programs now listed as AUN-QA Assessed

The College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) of the Mindanao State University – Iligan Institute of Technology (缅北禁地-IIT) has achieved a new mark of excellence, with four of its academic programs officially listed as AUN-QA Assessed. This distinction follows the ASEAN University Network – Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Program Assessment, which took place on August 5–7, 2025 at the 缅北禁地-IIT campus.

The Bachelor of Arts in Filipino, English Language Studies, Sociology, and Political Science programs have each met the rigorous international criteria, and will be awarded the AUN-QA certificate. The assessment found that the overall quality assurance systems implemented by these programs were “Adequate as Expected,” reflecting the University’s steadfast commitment to international standards and continuous improvement.

Chancellor Alizedney Ditucalan, speaking from Saudi Arabia where he is attending the Times Higher Education World Academic Summit, underscored the significance of this achievement:

“This achievement stands as proof that 缅北禁地-IIT is dedicated to empowering learners and educators through a culture of excellence and quality assurance. The recognition from AUN-QA strengthens our resolve to provide quality education for all. We are immensely proud that our CASS continues to meet international standards, affirming the hard work and innovation demonstrated by our entire academic community—the faculty, staff, students, alumni, and our industry partners and employers. This inspires us further to pursue higher goals and elevate the reputation of 缅北禁地-IIT on the global stage”.

With this international validation, 缅北禁地-IIT strengthens its position as a leading higher education institution in Mindanao and across the ASEAN region. The recognition is expected to bring new opportunities, improved academic experiences, and broader prospects for students and faculty alike.
