BS in Philosophy (Applied Ethics)

Bachelor of Science in Philosophy Major in Applied Ethics is a unique program in Mindanao, where the focus of study is Applied Ethics in a Bachelor of Science curriculum. Applied Ethics is a sub discipline of moral philosophy that uses philosophical analysis to look at the ethical issues that arise in various professions and human endeavors.

Program Learning Outcomes

PLO1. Apply basic ethical concepts and critical thinking skills to solve, and make informed decisions about complex moral/ethical issues.

PLO2. Identify major figures and texts in Applied Ethics, their historical context, their philosophical interrelations, and their importance in human development.

PLO3. Construct ethical positions on moral problems in different social and professional contexts.

PLO4. Discuss Applied Ethics, both in writing and speaking, in multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural settings.

PLO5. Practice individual accountability and responsibility for personal, academic, and leadership development within an ethical/legal framework.
