Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related
field
- Experience
with CAD software (SolidWorks or similar) for design and
analysis
- Ability to
work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity
with laboratory testing of mechanical properties of materials
- Background in
material science, particularly composites and polymers
- Analytical
and problem-solving skills
- Excellent
communication and documentation skills
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the
development and fabrication of composite hull materials
- Assist in
testing and analysis of fabricated composite structures
- Assist in
prototype development and validation
- Helps on the
documentation of the project
- Ensure proper
handling, storage, and disposal of materials used in composite
fabrication
- Performs
other functions as may be required by the project leader
