Project Title:Biodiversity, Carbon Storage and Economic Valuation of Coastal Greenbelts in Northern Mindanao: A Baseline for Carbon Trading and Conservation  
Project Leader: Wella T. Tatil, Ph.D.
Duration: 6 months
Salary: Php 15,208.80/month
Tentative Schedule of Interview: February 11, 2025

Qualifications:

  • At least a college graduate of Biology, Biodiversity, Environmental Science. Preferably a graduate of environmental science with experience on field data collection and coastal resource assessment. 
  • Excellent in written and oral communication skills
  • Must be willing to follow survey protocols and submit to authority
  • Knowledgeable in using collaboration tools such as Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
  • With basic GIS mapping skills in an advantage

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review field guide materials, attend the orientation, and follow the guidelines contained in the manual, including the rules set by the survey team. 
  • Conduct the survey in the identified sites (i.e. beach and mangrove forests)
  • Help the team process samples for analysis
  • Conduct data management and analysis
  • Write reports and attend meetings to report the progress of data collection to the project leader
  • Submit finished data on or before the deadline set by the Project leader
  • Provide timely feedback on the queries from the Project leader
  • Process administrative documents related to the project
