Project Title: Human Intestinal Microbiota: Interaction Between Parasites and Antibiotic Resistant E. coli (Phase 1)

Duration: 11 months
Salary: Php 15,208.80/month

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of B.S. Biology (Microbiology)
  • At least 3 months of experience working in a microbiological laboratory
  • 20 hours of relevant training in microbiology
  • Proficient in conducting literature reviews, online research, and laboratory tasks.
  • Can perform the following:
    • i. Fieldwork
    • ii. Basic microbiological techniques;
    • iii. Bacterial isolation, culture, and maintenance;
    • iv. Biochemical characterization of bacterial isolates; and
    • v. Maintenance of microbiological laboratory
    • vi. Fecalysis
    • vii. Identification of parasite isolated

  • Excellent multitasking and organization skills

  • Superb written and verbal communication skills

  • Able to adapt and be trained in performing tasks

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the point of contact for the project
  • a. Perform clerical management duties and other tasks related to the project such as processing
  • of paperwork, and coordination with the other aspects of the project.
  • b. Attend meetings/seminars relevant to the task of an RA.
  • c. Handles internal and external communications about the project.
  • d. Prepare the necessary status/project reports of the project as prescribed by the 缅北禁地-IIT
  • OVCRE.
  • e. Perform administrative functions to ensure the safety and efficiency of the laboratory.
  1. Prepare documents needed for the procurement of supplies (i.e. purchase requests, purchase orders, disbursement vouchers, etc)
  • a. Monitors the status of requests and deliveries
  • b. Properly maintain record logs for documentary purposes
  1. Assist in the overall activities of the project.
  2. Consolidate, analyze, and interpret data generated from the project.
  3. Perform other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor.
  4. Commitment to following ethical guidelines and confidentiality.
  5. Flexibility in working hours.
